Creating an empowering working environment where all employees are encouraged to grow professionally and personally, is high on Ruskin Design’s list of business priorities, and this month, we are celebrating with Matt Middlemass on his promotion to Production Coordinator AND for being awarded Most Improved Employee 2019.
Matt, who joined the company as apprentice trimmer in July 2017, has over the past two years demonstrated a number of unique strengths that have made a great contribution to the business.
Recognising his excellent organisational skills and enthusiastic approach to the production of a Ruskin Interior, Managing Director, Stephen Castledine has mentored his growth.
“We are extremely proud of Matt’s achievements and in particular his promotion to Production Coordinator” said Stephen.
“He has overcome some particular challenges that could have defined his progression but instead, we’ve worked with him to encourage confidence and self-belief and we are delighted to reward him for his hard work”.
In his new role, Matt will now be mentored by Ruskin’s Operations and Design Manager, Gemma Lee who herself was recently awarded Apprentice of the Year as part of the Leicestershire Live Women in Business Awards.
Matt said: “It’s great to have been awarded Most Improved Employee and even better to have been promoted to Ruskin Design’s Production Co-ordinator.
“Since joining Ruskin Design I’ve been given the confidence to push my own boundaries and I now have a role that complements my current skillset whilst giving me the chance to develop new ones.
“I’m really looking forward to learning more about the operational process of Ruskin Design, being mentored by Gemma and the rest of the management team and of course, celebrating my success”.
Congratulations Matt, the Ruskin Team is extremely proud of you!
